This golem is a force of geological fury rendered in miniature — every crack, facet, and jagged shard of its rocky hide captured in rich detail. The sculpt presents a large-sized construct in a powerful forward-leaning stance, one colossal spiked fist drawn back and ready to deliver a devastating blow. Its body is composed of layered, fractured stone plates giving the impression of tectonic armour grown rather than forged, with deep fissures running across its torso and limbs. A broad, helmeted face sits low between immense shoulders, lending it a brooding, indomitable presence.
Despite being labelled an Ice Golem, the sculpt leans firmly into earth elemental and stone construct territory — making it equally at home as a Clay Golem, Stone Golem, or even a magically animated earth elemental guardian. The spiked knuckles and armoured greaves give it a martial quality, suggesting something built for war rather than mere labour. At large scale, it will tower over standard 32mm figures on the table in exactly the way a CR 10 construct should.
The level of surface detail — particularly the cracked-stone texture across every surface — makes this a rewarding miniature to paint, whether you go for a dry-brushed grey stone effect, a volcanic obsidian scheme, or lean into the "ice" name with a pale blue and white palette suggesting frozen rock.
A great pick for adventurers who:
- Need a large-sized construct or earth elemental for D&D 5e encounters
- Are running dungeon delves, elemental plane adventures, or ancient ruin scenarios
- Want a centrepiece enemy that reads immediately as dangerous at the table
- Enjoy detailed, texture-rich sculpts that reward careful painting
- Are building out a golem or construct collection for display
Encounter Hook: The party has been hired to retrieve a stolen arcane focus from a dwarven vault sealed for three centuries. The door opens without trouble — but the moment they cross the threshold, the floor shudders, and a seven-foot mass of cracked stone and iron-hard fists pulls itself upright from the rubble, its hollow eyes fixing on the intruders. The vault's guardian never forgot its orders. It never will.
