This Carnivorous Tree miniature from Great Grimoire is a deeply unsettling addition to any wilderness or dark forest encounter. The sculpt captures the creature mid-lunge: a great toothed maw split wide across a bark-ridged trunk, one clawed branch-arm raking forward, root-legs coiling beneath a massive body. Most chillingly, a half-consumed humanoid victim is visible pressed into the creature's flank, still recognisably human — an outstanding storytelling detail that turns this from a mere monster into a scene. Grasping branch-fingers, gnarled root-feet, and clusters of smaller budding growths across the bark surface make this one of the more textually rich plant-creature sculpts around.

This is a large-scale model, substantially oversized compared to a standard 32mm humanoid, making it a commanding presence on any battlemap. It suits encounters in corrupted woodland, Underdark fungal forests, or anywhere nature itself has turned predatory. Equally compelling as a display piece — the detail rewards a layered paint job exploring bark tones, mossy recesses, and the grim colouration of the entangled victim.

Three decorative base options are available, each shown in the second image — a tree stump forest floor scene, a creeping vine and skull scene, and a deer skull with rocks scene — or choose a plain black base to mount your own terrain work. Please include a note with your order specifying which decorative base you'd like if you select that option. Bases arrive separate for easy attachment.

The three decorative base options — forest stump, vine-and-skull, and deer skull — are shown in the product images. Bases are included separately and can be glued in place. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all hand-finished resin work, minor marks may occasionally remain and can be cleaned up easily.
