This hyena sculpt from Epic Miniatures captures the creature mid-lunge — all coiled muscle, raised hackles, and snapping jaw. The beast is caught in that split-second before it closes the distance: one forepaw just leaving the ground, body twisted with predatory momentum, and a maw stretched wide in a snarl that shows every tooth. A ridge of spiny fur runs along the spine, giving the sculpt a feral, almost supernatural edge that makes it work equally well as a mundane beast encounter or as a gnoll pack's unleashed hunting animal.

The detail carries right through to the claws — spread wide on each paw, curved and ready to rake — and the compact, powerful build of the body. It has the hunched, low-slung silhouette that makes hyenas so unnerving; there is nothing graceful about this creature, only threat and speed and hunger. The raised hackles and open jaw read clearly at tabletop distance, which is exactly what you need when the party turns the corner and this lands on the map.

Two base options are available: a plain round base (SKU E-2550-HYENA-MEDIUM-NB, £3.00) or a version on a detailed sculpted rocky terrain base (SKU E-2550-HYENA-MEDIUM-PB, £3.50) that places the creature bounding across broken ground. The rocky base version adds real character for display painting and diorama work.
