Description

Cut off one head and two more take its place — the hydra has stalked the swamps and river deltas of the world since before the first kingdom raised its walls.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This sculpt captures the hydra in a coiled, predatory stance — five snarling heads rearing at different heights, each jaw stretched wide in an independent roar. The detail across the overlapping scaled body is impressive, with dorsal spines and clawed forelimbs giving the creature real weight and menace. Every head has its own personality: some lunging forward aggressively, others rearing back to strike — exactly the kind of chaotic, multi-vector threat a hydra should represent at the table.

The piece sits on a solid oval base, which gives it excellent stability for gaming use whilst keeping the silhouette dramatic enough to serve as a display centrepiece. The MZ4250 sculpt stays true to the creature's D&D stat block roots whilst having enough sculptural flair to feel genuinely dangerous on the battlefield. Whether you're painting each head a different colour to track which have been cauterised or going for a naturalistic wetlands palette, this mini rewards careful brushwork.

Particularly well suited to adventurers who:

  • Need a memorable hydra encounter for their campaign's swamp, river delta, or coastal dungeon
  • Want a multi-headed creature that reads clearly from across the table
  • Are looking for a display piece that showcases creature sculpting at its best
  • Play or run monster-heavy campaigns where iconic D&D creatures deserve proper representation

Encounter Hook: The party has been hired to clear a coastal fishing village's tidal estuary — livestock have been going missing and nets are coming up shredded. As they wade into the shallow delta at low tide, the reeds part and five heads rise from the brackish water simultaneously, each fixing on a different member of the group. Initiative.
