Description

Something ancient rose from the marsh — all thrashing scales, branching antlers, and a coiling tail that left furrows in the mud as it circled its prey.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Hunting Reptile is a large, bipedal predator that defies easy classification — part crocodilian, part stag, and entirely unsettling. Mounted on a 51mm base, this is a genuinely large-scale creature that commands the table the moment it hits the mat. Its wide-open jaws reveal rows of sharp teeth mid-snarl, while a crown of branching antlers sprouts from behind its reptilian skull in a silhouette unlike anything in a standard bestiary.

The sculpt is dense with surface detail: overlapping scales cover the entire body, erupting into thick spines along the spine and shoulders. Clawed hands are raised mid-lunge, and a long, heavily spiked tail curls around the base in a tight coil — a design choice that gives the miniature a sense of kinetic energy even at rest. Two distinct poses are shown in the product images, each captured unpainted in grey resin, giving you a clear view of exactly what you'll receive and how much paintable detail is packed into every surface.

Whether you run it as a unique territorial predator, a druidically awakened guardian, or a swamp-dwelling monstrosity that's been terrorising river villages, this mini has the presence to back up whatever stat block you throw at it.

A great choice for adventurers who:

  • Need a large creature that feels genuinely threatening at the table
  • Run swamp, jungle, or wilderness-heavy campaigns
  • Want a creature that could serve as a BBEG-tier beast or an apex predator encounter
  • Are building a display piece with heavy textural variety to paint across
  • Love a sculpt that doesn't look like anything else in their collection

Encounter Hook: The party follows a trail of overturned fishing boats and dragged carcasses into the Fenmere Shallows — only to find the riverside settlement of Crookhollow has been abandoned overnight. As they search the empty docks, something large begins circling them from beneath the murk, antlers cresting the waterline like driftwood before it erupts onto the bank.

Details

Scale: 32mm (large format — supplied on a 51mm oval base). Supplied unpainted and unassembled if applicable. The detail captured across the scales, spines, antlers, and coiling tail makes this an engaging painting project as well as a robust gaming piece.
