Hunter Ethelred is a grizzled, travel-worn figure who carries the weight of long years in the wilderness. This sculpt depicts him mid-action with a long musket raised and trained on some unseen quarry, his heavy cloak caught in the wind behind him. A thick beard, worn boots, and a belted travel coat speak of a man who lives far from the comfort of towns — practical, self-reliant, and not easily surprised. The second view shows him from behind, musket levelled skyward, cloak billowing — a silhouette that would look at home on a misty moorland or the edge of a haunted wood.
Whether you're casting him as a seasoned Ranger, a bounty hunter with a chequered past, or a gruff quest-giver who knows too much about what lurks in the dark, Ethelred brings a deeply human quality to your table. He's the kind of character your party will remember long after the session ends.
Suited to adventurers who:
- Need a vivid, characterful NPC for wilderness or gothic horror campaigns
- Want a Ranger or Fighter player character with a hunter-tracker aesthetic
- Are running a Ravenloft, Gothic, or frontier-themed campaign
- Collect detailed character miniatures for display as well as play
Encounter Hook:
The party finds Ethelred crouched at the treeline just outside a cursed village, reloading his musket with practised calm. He doesn't look up when they approach. "Third one this week," he mutters, nodding toward a dark shape in the mud. "Whatever's making them, it's getting bolder." He finally looks at the party — measuring them. "Question is whether you lot are brave or just stupid."
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. Any separate components (such as the musket) can be assembled with superglue. Supports are removed before dispatch, though minor marks from the printing process can occur — these are easily tidied up before priming. The miniature arrives fully cured and ready for your brush.
