Hunter Bust by Witchsong Miniatures
Description
They say the Hunter wears the skull of the first beast that ever bested him — a reminder that the wilderness does not forgive, and neither does he.

- ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted — ideal as a centrepiece painting project
- ✔ Designed for display shelves and painting competitions
This large-format bust from Witchsong Miniatures depicts a battle-hardened ranger or hunter character wearing a cracked beast-skull helm, its hollow eye socket staring blankly forward whilst the figure's own scarred visage snarls beneath. A full quiver of arrows rises from behind one heavily armoured shoulder, and layered scale armour — richly textured across every surface — speaks to years of hard travel through dangerous wilds. The sculpt sits on a detailed stone plinth base, making it a self-contained display piece straight out of the box.
Whether you imagine him as a relentless bounty hunter patrolling the borderlands, a disgraced ranger who took a dark pact to survive, or simply the most dangerous man your party has ever had the misfortune to attract as an enemy — this bust has the character to carry the story. The depth of texture across the armour plates, the skull mask, and the skin beneath make this a genuinely rewarding piece to paint, with countless surfaces to reward highlighting and wash techniques alike.
Well-suited to adventurers who:
- Enjoy large display busts as a painting challenge or showcase centrepiece
- Are building a collection of character-driven fantasy display pieces
- Want a compelling NPC, villain, or rival character for their D&D or TTRPG campaign
- Are looking for a ranger, hunter, or barbarian character with a dark, weathered aesthetic
Encounter Hook:
The party's contact in the frontier town lowers his voice and slides a wanted notice across the table — a charcoal sketch of a figure in a beast-skull helm. "He took three of my best trackers before they even knew he was there," the merchant says quietly. "Whatever you're being paid to find him, ask for more."
