The Hungry Child bundle includes two unsettling sculpts from Novaminis — a pair of figures that blur the line between haunted innocence and something far darker. Both share the same signature detail: ragged clothing stitched together with crude cross-stitch seams that run from collar to hem, as though something was repaired — or assembled — by hands that weren't quite human.

Hungry Child 01 is a bare-chested figure with wild, spiky hair and a muscular frame that contrasts sharply with the child-like proportions. The arms are raised and reaching, one hand clawing at the chest, the other extended palm-outward in a gesture that could be a plea or a threat. The blank, unfocused expression makes it all the more unnerving. Worn boots and loosely stitched trousers complete a look that belongs somewhere between scarecrow and something worse.

Hungry Child 02 is a taller, leaner figure in a long, floor-length dress, also stitched heavily along the front and hem. Long, wild dreadlocked hair frames a calm, slightly tilted face with closed or half-closed eyes. One arm reaches upward with fingers spread as though channelling something unseen, while the other hangs at its side, fingers curling. The flowing silhouette and raised hand give this sculpt a ritualistic, almost spellcaster quality.

Together, they work brilliantly as a matched pair — a haunted encounter, a cult offering, a village's darkest secret, or the centrepiece of a Ravenloft horror session. Both minis carry enough ambiguity to function as possessed civilians, undead husks, aberrant thralls, or even warped fey-touched children depending on your campaign needs.

Adventurers who'd reach for this bundle:

  • Dungeon Masters building atmospheric horror encounters in Ravenloft or the Shadowfell
  • Anyone running a cursed village, a dark ritual, or a child-of-the-night storyline
  • Painters who want a challenging contrast project — gaunt flesh tones, crude stitching, and haunted expressions
  • Collectors drawn to character-driven creature sculpts with genuine narrative weight
  • DMs who want matched NPC pairs for symmetrical encounter design

Encounter Hook

The village of Amberfen has been silent for three nights. When the party finally arrives, they find the streets empty — until two children step from the fog at the crossroads, heads tilted at identical angles, arms slowly rising. They haven't spoken in days, a local elder whispers from a shutter crack. They just reach. The party has one round before the stitching along the children's chests begins to pull apart on its own.
