Description

He has not spoken a word since arriving at the forest's edge — only stroked his beard, tilted his wide-brimmed hat, and let the birds on his staff do the watching for him.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Linus is a wizard who carries his wisdom in feathers and silence. Three birds perch about him — one on the crown of his gnarled, rope-twisted staff, one mid-wing on his brim, one alighting at his shoulder — as though they serve as his eyes across distances no spell quite covers. He stands rooted on a weathered tree stump, heavy robes layered over a studded travelling coat, a lantern and pouches hanging at his belt. One hand strokes his long beard in thought; the other grips the staff with the quiet surety of someone who has held it for decades. This is not a man who rushes.

The sculpt rewards a painter's attention: the twisted bark texture of the staff, the individual flight feathers on each bird, the worn folds of his cloak, and the moss-and-mushroom scatter of the base all offer distinct surfaces to work across. Equally at home on a gaming table as on a display shelf, Linus reads as sage, druid, or grey wanderer depending entirely on how you choose to paint him.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a wise, mysterious NPC — a quest-giver, lore-keeper, or reluctant mentor
  • Are playing a Wizard, Druid, or Ranger with a nature-attuned flavour
  • Want a character who could be allied, ambiguous, or quietly threatening depending on the session
  • Are drawn to display-scale painting projects with layered textures and fine detail

Encounter Hook:
The village elder insisted the old man by the millpond was harmless — but three of his birds have been spotted inside the locked granary, and now grain is missing along with the deed to the eastern farmstead. When the party approaches Linus, he doesn't look up. He simply says, "You took longer than I expected," and gestures at a second stump as if they were expected for tea.

Details

Linus is supplied at 32mm scale. The model and scenic base are separate pieces, designed to be attached with a small amount of adhesive — the base and figure interact closely, so the two look best presented together. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming.
