Human Wizard Catriona by DnD Is A Woman

She doesn't need robes of the archmagi to command a room — Catriona walks in, staff in hand, and the air crackles before she's even spoken a word.

• ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
• ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
• ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
• ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Catriona cuts a confident, composed figure — a wizard who has clearly earned her place at the table through study, will, and no small amount of stubbornness. Her full-skirted gown falls in sweeping folds, cinched with a laced corset bodice and finished with dramatically puffed sleeves that speak of someone with both taste and authority. Her hair is pinned up beneath a neat turban-style wrap, and her expression carries the steady, assessing gaze of someone who has already worked out three ways to end this encounter before you've finished drawing your weapon.

In her right hand she holds a tall, ornately carved staff, its upper length twisting into an elegant organic form — the kind of focus that accumulates history the longer it's carried. Her left hand rests on her hip, unhurried. There is no drama in her posture, only certainty. That confidence is what makes her so compelling to paint — every surface, from the layered fabric to the staff's worn grain, rewards careful brushwork and patient highlighting.

This is variation 2 of Catriona, offering a slightly distinct take on the character within the same core design — worth comparing with other releases in the range if you want to find the pose that best fits your party or your vision for the character.

Whether you're building a scholarly wizard for a long-running campaign, a guild leader with hidden agendas, or a showpiece for your painting collection, Catriona delivers the kind of sculpt that rewards attention.

A solid choice for adventurers who:

• Play human wizards, sorcerers, or arcane NPCs at the table
• Want a spellcaster sculpt that reads as composed and authoritative rather than mid-cast
• Are drawn to period-influenced fantasy dress with genuine fabric detail
• Love a character that looks equally at home in a library, a noble court, or a dungeon corridor
• Enjoy a painting project with deep fabric folds and a characterful face to bring to life

Encounter Hook

The party has been summoned to the Mages' Quarter to answer for a spell gone wrong. The investigator waiting for them in the antechamber is not what they expected — no robes of office, no dramatic entrance. Just a woman in an elegant gown, staff resting in the crook of her arm, watching them with an expression that suggests she already knows exactly what happened and is simply waiting to see whether they'll be honest about it.
