This is pose 2 of our Human Male Bard range, sculpted by MZ4250. He stands in a composed, self-assured stance, dressed in a tailored jacket and riding boots, with round spectacles and a neat moustache lending him the air of a man who has reinvented himself at least twice. His lute is held mid-strum, suggesting a performance already in progress — or one he's using as cover for something rather more interesting.
As a player character, he suits a Bard of the College of Lore or College of Glamour to a tee. As an NPC, he's equally at home as a roguish contact, a well-connected fence operating under a musical alibi, or a travelling spy whose reputation precedes him by several kingdoms. The slightly anachronistic spectacles give DMs creative licence — this could be a man of unusual learning, a diviner, or simply someone who values clear vision in uncertain times.
A fine choice for adventurers who:
- Need a charismatic Bard PC with a distinctive silhouette
- Want a recurring NPC with style and an air of hidden agenda
- Are building a scene around a tavern, salon, or clandestine gathering
- Collect across the MZ4250 catalogue and want both poses in this range
Encounter Hook:
The party spots him in the corner of the Gilded Compass — playing a slow tune that the barkeep seems very keen nobody requests. When a courier enters and passes him a sealed note without breaking stride, it becomes clear the lute is less an instrument and more a prop. He notices the party noticing him, and tips his hat with a smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes.
