Arion Midrun is a fighter who carries himself like someone who has survived things he doesn't talk about. Dressed in layered chainmail beneath engraved plate armour, a broad travel cape swept back across his shoulders, and a well-worn round shield strapped to his left arm, he reads as a seasoned city-guard veteran, a noble-born soldier gone rogue, or the kind of sword-for-hire who actually has principles. The ornate scrollwork on his pauldron and cape border hints at a background with coin and connections — whether those ties still hold is a question worth exploring at the table.
The sculpt captures him at ease but watchful: sword held low in his right hand, shield carried rather than raised, and that slight knowing smile suggesting he's already assessed the room. Every surface rewards the painter — the chainmail hem, the tooled leather belt, the riveted shield face with its central boss — and the flowing cape gives excellent opportunities for wet-blending or contrast techniques on the reverse.
