Description

She travels light, carries only a quarterstaff and a lifetime of discipline, and she has already calculated exactly how many strikes it will take to end this fight.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is the second sculpt in Novaminis' Human Female Monk series, and where the first variant stands in a grounded combat stance, this one captures mid-stride movement — dreadlocked hair swept back, quarterstaff slung diagonally across her body, one leg lifted as if she's already closing the gap before initiative has even been rolled. The pose carries real kinetic energy without sacrificing the grounded musculature and anatomy detail that makes this sculpt worth painting carefully.

She wears minimal cloth wrappings at the waist and wrist, knee-high boots with simple buckle detailing, and nothing else — all the hallmarks of a practitioner who has shed every unnecessary weight on the road to mastery. The dreadlocks are sculpted with individual strand definition, and her expression is focused rather than fierce: someone who isn't angry, just efficient.

Whether she's a Way of the Open Hand monk living on the road, a Sun Soul adept crossing a mountain pass, or a wandering martial artist in a gritty low-magic setting, this sculpt communicates character through posture and proportion rather than flashy ornamentation. She's equally well-suited as a display piece for painters who enjoy the challenge of rendering athletic musculature and natural skin tones.

A fine choice for adventurers who:

  • Play monks, particularly open-hand or kensei builds that carry a quarterstaff
  • Want a travelling-warrior aesthetic rather than an armoured or robed monk look
  • Need a human female martial character with genuine dynamism on the tabletop
  • Are looking for a mid-difficulty painting project with rewarding anatomical detail
  • Collect display pieces that reward a naturalistic, warm-toned paint approach

Encounter Hook: The party has been hired to escort a merchant caravan through the Dustwood Pass when they spot a lone figure keeping pace with them along the ridge line — she's been tracking them since the last waystation, and when bandits spring the ambush she's been watching for, she drops into the convoy without a word, quarterstaff already swinging. Whether she's a guardian, a vigilante, or something more complicated is entirely the DM's call.
