Description

The party pauses at the edge of a steaming pool — ancient runes etched into the surrounding stones, the water too still, too warm, and faintly luminescent.

  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
  • ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
  • ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama

This hot spring terrain piece from Mia Kay M3DM is a beautifully sculpted scatter piece that brings geothermal atmosphere to any wilderness, dungeon, or druidic shrine encounter. A ring of rough-hewn boulders encircles a wide, shallow pool, its surface subtly textured to suggest slowly rippling water. The natural, organic stonework has genuine character — each rock varied in shape and angle, giving the whole piece a convincingly geological feel rather than something manufactured.

Whether it marks the edge of a volcanic badlands, the sacred heart of a jungle temple, or an otherworldly curiosity deep in the Underdark, this piece rewards both DMs building evocative battle maps and collectors looking for terrain with real painterly potential. The smooth pool surface takes washes and OSL effects beautifully, and the rocky border offers plenty of texture for drybrushing.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Build immersive battle maps with specific, narrative terrain features
  • Run encounters in volcanic regions, druidic groves, or subterranean wilderness
  • Create dioramas or display setups with detailed scatter pieces
  • Enjoy painting terrain as a hobby project in its own right

Encounter Hook:
The hot spring the village elder spoke of is here — but the water runs rust-red today, and the bones of something large are arranged in a ring around its edge. Whatever bathed here last did not do so willingly. The party has thirty seconds before the steam clears and whatever is hiding in it can see them too.

Scaled to 32mm and supplied unpainted, ready for priming and painting or use straight from the box. The piece is printed as a single unit. Some minor marks from the printing process may occasionally occur — these are easily tidied up and do not affect the finished result when painted.
