  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Horse Spider is one of those creatures that stops a table cold the moment it hits the mat. Half horse, half spider — all threat. This sculpt captures the creature mid-stance, its equine head snarling with bared teeth and a wild, flowing mane while its eight arachnid legs splay outward in a posture that reads as both predatory and deeply unsettling. The bulbous, textured spider abdomen swells behind the horse torso, pocked and plated with surface detail that rewards careful painting — washes pooling in the chitin seams, drybrushing picking out the raised ridges. This is a large model mounted on a 51mm base, and it earns every millimetre of that footprint.

The sculpt is a multipart kit, giving you the flexibility to choose between a decorative base or a plain base depending on your basing preference or the look you're building for your table. Both options are available as separate SKUs so you can pick exactly what suits your project. Whether you're dropping it into an encounter as a monstrous predator or putting it centre-stage on a display shelf, the Horse Spider has the presence to hold attention from across the room.

Creatures like this thrive in the kind of encounter that begins with the party noticing something is wrong with the horses — and ends with someone rolling low on their Wisdom save.

Well-suited for adventurers who:

  • Run forest ambushes, Underdark wanderings, or swamp encounters where the wildlife has gone horribly wrong
  • Want a Large-scale creature that genuinely unsettles players before a single die is rolled
  • Are building a display piece around aberrant, monstrous, or darkly surreal creature themes
  • Enjoy painting organic textures — chitin, fur, and sinew all present in a single sculpt

Encounter Hook

The caravan's horses have been disappearing one by one, and the trail of silk-wrapped hoofprints leads into the treeline. When the party follows, they find the missing animals — cocooned, and the thing that made the webs is very much still present.
