The Horror From Elsewhere is not simply a monster — it is a statement. A serpentine, draconic body coils upon itself in a posture that suggests neither aggression nor retreat, but something altogether more unsettling: patience. Its scaled torso ripples with organic protrusions, and a crown of bony spurs and swept-back horns frames a maw that has clearly never needed to hide what it is. The wings — vast, membranous, and veined with branching tendrils — wrap around the creature's lower mass like a shroud, while a thick, writhing tail loops beneath its own weight, threaded through with fleshy, root-like growths that speak to something older and stranger than any dragon you have faced before.

The sculpt sits upon a decorative base etched with runic glyphs — the remnants, perhaps, of a ward that failed. Every surface rewards a painter: the layered scales, the taut wing membranes, the coiling tendrils, and the sharp contrast between angular bone and soft, swollen organic tissue. Whether you are reaching for a wet-blending technique on those great wings or picking out individual runes on the base stonework, this is a miniature that gives back everything you invest in it.

As a multipart sculpt, the Horror From Elsewhere assembles into a cohesive, dynamic composition — a creature that feels as though it has arrived from somewhere the light does not reach, and has no intention of returning.

• Adventurers who want a centrepiece encounter creature for a Ravenloft or cosmic horror arc
• DMs building a climactic revelation — the thing behind the cult, the thing the rift was meant to keep out
• Painters drawn to organic complexity: layered scales, translucent membranes, and intricate base detail
• Collectors seeking a display piece with genuine sculptural ambition

Encounter Hook: The party has spent three sessions dismantling the Cult of the Shattered Veil — burning their shrines, silencing their heralds, and sealing their rifts. Tonight, they open the door to the sanctum beneath the Greyvast Lighthouse and find the floor covered in fresh runes, the air tasting of iron and cold vacuum. In the centre of the room, coiled around a pulsing tear in reality, the Horror From Elsewhere turns its crown of horns toward them — and the party realises they did not stop the ritual. They completed it.
