The Holy Sister Sharpshooter is a striking contradiction in sculpt form: a figure of quiet religious devotion — head wrapped in a flowing veil, hands pressed together in prayer — who also happens to carry a long rifle slung across her back, a bandolier of cartridges at her waist, and enough buckled kit to suggest she's seen far more of the world's ugliness than any sermon prepared her for. The long ecclesiastical robes and layered sash give her a genuinely clerical silhouette, while the firearm and tactical rigging speak to something harder-earned.
Her base is scattered with melted candle stubs, half-drowned in wax — a small but evocative detail that roots her in ritual as much as in violence. She reads as a character with a history: a missionary who had to become something else, a cleric whose god demands results not just devotion, or a divine champion operating in a world where miracles need a little help.
The sculpt is rendered in crisp detail throughout — the folds of her robe, the texture of her headwrap, the individual candles on the base — making her equally rewarding as a tabletop piece and as a painting project for the display shelf.
This miniature works brilliantly for adventurers who:
- Play a Cleric, Paladin, or Ranger with a faith-meets-firepower backstory
- Run Weird West, gothic horror, or dark fantasy campaigns
- Want a morally complex NPC — a travelling inquisitor, a fallen nun, or a holy assassin
- Are building a Ravenloft encounter involving a church militant
- Love a miniature that rewards careful painting across fine fabric and worn leather
Encounter Hook
The party finds her kneeling in the ruins of a burned-out chapel, hands folded, eyes closed — her rifle laid across the bodies of three cultists behind her. She neither greets them nor raises her head. When she finally speaks, she asks only one question: "Did you come to pray, or did you come to help?"
