This is Pose 02 of our Hobgoblin Warrior range by Novaminis, and it captures the ruthless, coiled aggression that makes hobgoblins such compelling battlefield threats. Armed with a longsword in each hand, he advances mid-stride with the spiked face-mask of a soldier who has seen enough campaigns to stop caring about looking frightening — he simply is frightening. Riveted plate armour, a studded fauld, and those characteristic spiked pauldrons mark him as a veteran, not a conscript. The sculpt rewards close attention: chain detailing at the belt, tooled leather at the legs, and an expression of cold intent visible even beneath that visor.
Where the Pose 01 hobgoblin holds his ground, Pose 02 is in motion — pressing forward, weapons spread wide, cutting off retreat. Whether you field him as a front-line warrior, a unit champion, or a named antagonist with a grievance against the party, he reads clearly across the table without losing any of that sculptural detail up close. Equally at home on a display shelf as on a battlemat.

Encounter Hook:
The party is escorting a merchant caravan through the Thornwood Pass when a single hobgoblin steps out of the treeline — not to attack, but to speak. He names the cart's owner, lists the cargo by weight, and offers a toll. When the fighter reaches for her sword, he simply spreads his own blades wide and smiles. Behind him, in the trees, nothing moves. Nothing needs to.
Scaled to 32mm. Available with or without a plain black base — the base ships unattached and can be fixed in place with a small amount of glue. Each piece is checked before dispatch; as with all hand-finished work, minor surface marks are possible and easily tidied up before priming.
