This is pose 3 of the Hobgoblin Thug range from Novaminis, and it's one of the most dynamic of the set. Striding forward mid-advance, this warrior carries a longsword in each hand — one extended forward in challenge, the other held low and ready for a follow-up strike. He's clad in layered studded armour with riveted pauldrons, a segmented breastplate, and a distinctive riveted half-mask that gives him that unsettling blankness hobgoblins do so well. Chainmail hangs at his waist over heavy greaves, and every surface of the sculpt carries the kind of martial wear that suggests a warrior who has seen real campaigning. The wide stance and forward lean communicate intent without ambiguity — this one is not standing guard, he is coming for someone.

Hobgoblins in D&D 5e are Lawful Evil humanoids built around military hierarchy, making them endlessly useful as recurring threats. A group of these Thugs painted up in matching livery becomes a credible unit of enforcers, mercenaries, or shock troops. Supplied at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black base — the base is unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all hand-finished prints, minor surface marks are possible and can be tidied up before priming. The miniature arrives fully cured and ready to prime and paint.
