This is pose 2 of the Hobgoblin Thug range by Novaminis, and it carries real martial weight. He advances with a short sword extended and a large studded round shield raised at his side, his posture somewhere between a march and a challenge. The horned helmet is riveted and spiked, the breastplate layered and battle-scarred, and chainmail hangs over thick, armoured legs — every detail speaks to a hobgoblin who has survived enough skirmishes to dress accordingly. His expression is a wide, tusked grin that manages to be both confident and threatening, exactly the look you want on the front line of an enemy warband.
Hobgoblins are among the most tactically-minded of goblinoid creatures — organised, hierarchical, and utterly ruthless. Where goblins scatter and orcs brawl, hobgoblins form shield walls and follow orders. Thug 02 slots naturally into a warband formation alongside other Novaminis Hobgoblin sculpts, and works equally well as a named lieutenant, a veteran enforcer, or the first face your party sees before things go very wrong. Details
Printed at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black base — the base is supplied unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Each miniature arrives with supports removed and fully cured, ready for priming and painting straight out of the box. As with all high-detail resin work, minor surface marks may occasionally occur; these are easily tidied up with light sanding.
