This is pose 01 of our Hobgoblin Smuggler Captain range, sculpted by Novaminis. He strides forward mid-command — one hand outstretched and clawed, the other gripping a broad, notched blade — wearing riveted leather armour over a long stitched coat, with spiked pauldrons and a flowing cloak at his back. The grimace is all teeth. The posture is all authority. This isn't a grunt who wandered into a leadership role; this is a hobgoblin who built a criminal network and dares anyone to challenge it.
Hobgoblins in D&D 5e are martial by nature — disciplined, hierarchical, and ruthless — but this captain carries the additional cunning of someone who operates in the shadows of the docks and the back rooms of seedy taverns. He works equally well as a recurring faction leader, a mid-tier boss in an urban intrigue arc, or the muscle behind a smuggling ring that's been bleeding the city guard dry for months. His detail rewards a careful paint job, but he holds his own unpainted on a busy encounter table too.

Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to intercept a shipment moving through the harbour district — but when they reach the warehouse, they find the dockworkers already dead and a scarred hobgoblin captain standing over the crates, blade drawn, calmly explaining that whatever they were promised, he's prepared to double it if they walk away now.
Scaled to 32mm. Available with or without a plain black base — the base arrives unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. As with all hand-finished resin pieces, minor imperfections from the printing process are possible; these are easily tidied up before priming. Each piece is fully cured and support-cleaned before dispatch.
