Hobgoblins don't ride owlbears by accident. It takes iron discipline, brutal patience, and the kind of military cunning that sets hobgoblins apart from their goblinoid kin. These two riders represent that lethal combination in miniature form — armoured warriors mounted atop hulking, feather-maned owlbears, each beast as terrifyingly realised as the rider astride it. The first pose shows the rider levelling a long-hafted battle axe horizontally across the owlbear's back, crouched low and aggressive — a warlord bearing down on the party's front line. The second pose captures a different energy entirely: the owlbear rearing upright on its hind legs while the hobgoblin drives a spear overhead in a fierce downward thrust, the beast's hooked beak open and its full feathered bulk on display.
