Hobgoblins are not thugs who blunder into combat — they are disciplined soldiers who plan, coordinate, and strike from range before the enemy can close the gap. This hunter embodies that doctrine: wide-legged stance braced for recoil, a recurve bow drawn to full tension, arrow trained on a target already marked for death. Every detail of the sculpt reinforces the character's lethality — segmented plate across the torso and shoulders, fur-trimmed tassets at the waist, tooled bracers on the bow arm, and a quiver of arrows riding high on the back within easy reach of a practised hand.

The face carries the disciplined scowl of a soldier who has never once fired a hasty shot. This is not a raider — this is a range-finder, a skirmisher who holds the high ground while the warbands close in below. Painted up in earthy ochres, deep reds, or the dark livery of a hobgoblin legion, this figure reads immediately as a threat your players will respect from the very first round.

The sculpt is multipart and supplied with both a decorative base and a plain base option, giving you the flexibility to mount it exactly as your table demands.

Suits adventurers who:

  • Need a credible ranged threat to anchor a goblinoid ambush encounter
  • Are building out a hobgoblin warband with tactical variety — melee, command, and now ranged
  • Want a ranger, fighter, or hunter player character miniature with a fierce martial edge
  • Are after a display piece that rewards careful detail painting on armour, fletching, and fur

Encounter Hook

The road through the Ashwood narrows between two crumbling ridgelines — and on the eastern ridge, something moves. A hobgoblin hunter has been assigned to hold this choke point, with orders to drop the party's heaviest armour-wearer before the main warband charges. The first shot comes from 120 feet with no warning. Where is the hunter hiding, and how many arrows does it have left?
