Description

They said no harbour would take him, no crew would have him — so he bought his own ship, loaded his own pistols, and made the sea answer to him instead.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

There is something immediately compelling about a hippo who has decided piracy is his calling. Broad-shouldered and barrel-chested, this anthropomorphic buccaneer stands with the easy confidence of someone who has never once been told no and gotten away with it. His long coat falls open at the waist, belted with the casual authority of a man who owns the dock, and his arm stretches forward to level a beautifully detailed flintlock pistol at whatever poor soul dared to cross him. A second firearm is tucked into his belt — because one shot is optimistic, but two is a philosophy.

The sculpt captures a wonderfully expressive character: wide-muzzled and flat-eared, with a posture that reads as absolute certainty in his own dominance. The coat has visible button detailing and natural fabric drape, and the pistol itself is cleanly resolved with a proper flintlock mechanism. Whether you paint him in weathered navy wool and salt-stained leather or go full theatrical with gold trim and a crimson sash, he will command the table entirely on his own terms.

As a multipart sculpt, he arrives with both a decorative base and a plain base option, giving you the flexibility to mount him however suits your campaign or display shelf best.

Suited to adventurers who:

  • Run seafaring campaigns and need NPCs with genuine presence and personality
  • Want an anthropomorphic character mini that doubles as a memorable BBEG or faction leader
  • Love unusual, characterful sculpts that stand out on a painted display shelf
  • Play Spelljammer, pirate-themed one-shots, or any nautical TTRPG setting

Encounter Hook: The dockmaster warned the party not to approach the Ivory Tide without an invitation. Now, standing at the end of the gangplank with a pistol levelled and one eye narrowed, Captain Bhorak is asking very politely — once — what exactly they think they're doing on his pier after dark.
