Description

The party crests the fog-wrapped hillside and finds themselves face to face with something far more unsettling than any dungeon beast — a thousand-pound Highland cow, horns spread wide, watching them with ancient, unhurried contempt.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Often overlooked in favour of dragons and demons, the humble Highland cow carries a quiet power that any seasoned Dungeon Master will recognise. Shaggy, broad, and deceptively sturdy, these creatures are a fixture of windswept moorlands, rural frontier settlements, and the kind of pastoral scenes that make players drop their guard entirely — right before things go sideways. Whether you need livestock for a farmstead raid, a territorial beast blocking a highland pass, or simply a piece of living scenery that makes your world feel genuinely inhabited, this sculpt earns its place on the table.

The sculpt captures every detail that makes the Highland cow so visually distinctive: the long, layered shaggy coat rendered with flowing strand-by-strand texture, the broad muscular frame, cloven hooves firmly planted, and those sweeping asymmetric horns rising with quiet authority. The face holds a calm, watchful expression — the kind that makes players ask their DM, entirely too late, whether they provoked it.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Run rural, frontier, or wilderness-heavy campaigns needing believable livestock and fauna
  • Want environmental hazards that aren't immediately recognisable as threats
  • Are building farm, village, or highland encounter scenes for their table
  • Enjoy painting highly textured animal sculpts with rich fur and weathered hide detail
  • Collect display-worthy creature miniatures alongside their adventuring party

Encounter Hook:
The drover who hired the party warned them the highland road was clear — he failed to mention the herd of Highland cattle that have claimed the old stone bridge as their own. The lead bull (this one) stands centre span, unmoved, and the party's wagon cannot pass. Persuasion, Animal Handling, or brute force: the bridge belongs to the beast until someone convinces it otherwise.

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale and suited for both gaming use and display collecting. Available with or without a plain black base — the base ships unattached and can be secured with a small amount of glue. Minor surface imperfections are possible as a natural result of the printing process; any residual marks are easily tidied up before priming. Ready for paint straight from the box.
