High Elf Archmage (Theodain Eriason) by Monster Atlas

He did not arrive loudly — no thunder, no conjured flame — just the slow, cold certainty that the most powerful mind in the room had already decided how this would end.

Theodain Eriason cuts a striking figure — long pale hair falling loose past his angular pauldrons, layered robes cascading to the floor in sweeping tiers of finely detailed cloth. One hand is raised and slightly open, fingers spread, caught mid-incantation at the moment before a spell is loosed. The other hangs with quiet, controlled readiness at his side. There is nothing frantic in his posture. This is a man who has had centuries to perfect both his craft and his composure.

The sculpt rewards patient painters: the multiple layers of his robes offer excellent opportunities for wet-blending or layered highlighting, while the raised pauldrons and angular collar provide strong contrast lines that respond beautifully to washes. His face is calm and imperious — sharp, high cheekbones and an expression that sits somewhere between disinterest and absolute authority. A pleasure to paint in cool, regal tones, though an archmage of corrupted allegiance would look equally convincing in deeper, more sinister hues.

Theodain works as well on the display shelf as he does at the heart of a campaign encounter. As a player character he anchors a wizard or sorcerer build visually; as an NPC he carries the gravitas of a court archmage, a secretive lore-keeper, or a villain whose danger lies entirely in his intellect.

This listing is available with or without a plain base — choose whichever suits your basing style or existing collection.

Adventurers who appreciate this miniature tend to be:

• Wizard or sorcerer players wanting a composed, high-elf spellcaster to represent their character
• Dungeon Masters building encounters around arcane nobility, elven courts, or rival mages
• Painters looking for a miniature where flowing robes and subtle facial expression are the real canvas
• Collectors drawn to figures that hold their own on a display shelf without a weapon in hand

Encounter Hook

The party has been summoned to the Spire of Vel'ithaan — not by soldiers, not by a letter, but by a single word materialising in smoke above their campfire. When they arrive, Theodain Eriason is already seated, already watching, and already three moves ahead. He knows about the Seal. He knows what the party did in Mirewatch. And he is prepared to help — for a price that will only become clear once they have already agreed.
