Description

Where the Abyss meets the hive, something vast and ravenous takes wing — and it has not fed in a very long time.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Hellwasp is not merely a giant insect. It is a creature shaped by infernal purpose — an apex predator of corrupted skies and blighted wilderness, with a body like segmented black iron, compound eyes that register nothing but hunger, and wings etched with the flowing, vein-like markings of something that should never have grown this large. This sculpt captures that menace in full: wings spread wide and rippling with organic texture, spined legs curled ready to grasp, and a thorax bristling with chitinous armour plating that would blunt most blades. It reads immediately as a threat.

Whether you're running it as a single boss encounter, nesting it in a blighted forest hex, or deploying a swarm to harry your party mid-journey, the Hellwasp brings real visual presence to the table. At 32mm scale it looms over humanoid miniatures with satisfying menace, and the sculpt holds enough surface detail — from the layered wing membranes to the barbed leg joints — to reward even a simple two-tone paint scheme. Equally at home as a display piece on a shelf or a terror across the encounter mat.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a visually distinctive flying monster for D&D 5e or other TTRPG encounters
  • Are building hive-themed, blighted, or infernal wilderness adventures
  • Want a creature that works equally well as a swarm member or solo boss threat
  • Enjoy painting insectoid miniatures with complex surface textures and layered wings
  • Collect fantasy creature miniatures for display alongside their tabletop collection

Encounter Hook:
The party's ranger notices the forest has gone silent — no birdsong, no rustling undergrowth, nothing. Then the tree line erupts as a Hellwasp the size of a warhorse descends, dragging a half-dissolved elk in its front claws, its compound eyes sweeping across the road with slow, deliberate interest. Something has driven it from its nest, and the party is directly between it and wherever it is going.
