Description

It doesn't bark — it doesn't need to. The ridge of black scales along its spine rises as it lunges, and by the time you hear the growl, it's already too late.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is pose 2 of our Hellhound range from Yasashii Kyojin Studios, and it captures the creature mid-charge — weight forward, jaws spread wide, dorsal spines fanned out like a warning no one survives long enough to heed. Where pose 1 crouches and coils, this one is already moving. The layered scale-plates across its haunches and shoulders give it an almost draconic quality — less infernal hound, more apex predator with a planar passport.

Hellhounds serve as the hunting dogs of the Nine Hells, unleashed by devil lords to track oathbreakers, pursue escaped souls, and terrorise mortal settlements unfortunate enough to sit near a planar rift. For Dungeon Masters, they work brilliantly as a pack threat in a low-to-mid-level encounter, as the loyal beasts of a pit fiend patron, or as the opening move in a devilish ambush. The sculpt holds up equally well on a gaming table and on a display shelf — the detail in those scales rewards a careful painter.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a pack-hunter threat for infernal or fiend-themed encounters
  • Are running a campaign in Avernus or another layer of the Nine Hells
  • Want a compelling beast companion or summoned creature for a Warlock or Fiend patron build
  • Collect and paint D&D monster miniatures and want a sculpt with serious surface detail

Encounter Hook:
The merchant's caravan has been moving for three days when the first set of clawed prints appears in the road — too wide to be a wolf, spaced too far apart. By nightfall, the party can hear breathing in the treeline. When dawn breaks and the tracks have circled the camp twice, the wagon master produces a crumpled infernal contract and refuses to explain whose name is on the bottom line.

Details

Printed at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black base — the base is supplied unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. This mini arrives support-free and fully cured, ready for priming and painting or straight to the table as-is. We take care with every piece, though minor surface marks from the printing process can occasionally occur and are easily addressed with fine sandpaper or a sharp blade.
