Description
The gates of the keep swung open, and from the darkness strode a figure clad head to toe in layered plate — visor sealed, cape billowing, a great scythe levelled with quiet, terrible purpose.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
This is a warrior who has long since stopped needing to speak. The Heavy Knight Scythe sculpt by Epic Miniatures captures a fully armoured figure in a low, braced stance — every surface of the plate worked with chevron detailing and articulated joints, a closed-visor helm conveying absolute anonymity. The swept cape adds movement and drama, whipping behind as if caught in the moment before a charge. Most striking of all is the weapon: a long-hafted scythe with a broad, curving blade, gripped in both gauntleted hands and levelled outward in a wide, sweeping ready-stance.
Whether you read this knight as a disgraced Paladin stripped of all mercy, a Fighter who has become something closer to an executioner, or the bodyguard of a lich-king who does not bother with introductions — the sculpt holds all of those readings without forcing any one of them. The closed helm and the scythe together do a great deal of work: there is no face to read, only intent.
The miniature is multipart and available with or without a decorative base, giving you flexibility to mount it on your own custom basing or use the included option straight from the print. Either way, the silhouette — caped, armoured, blade extended — reads powerfully from across the table.
Well suited for adventurers who:
- Want a formidable, faceless antagonist for a dungeon or fortress encounter
- Are building a Fighter, Paladin, or Death domain Cleric at the gaming table
- Need a powerful centrepiece mini for a knightly warband or household guard
- Collect display-quality humanoid armoured figures as painting projects
- Prefer sculpts that work equally as player characters or memorable villains
Encounter Hook
The party has infiltrated the Iron Sepulchre to steal back the stolen Crown of Embers — but as they reach the vault, the doors seal behind them. A single figure steps forward from the shadows at the far end of the chamber: no herald, no challenge, no name given. The Heavy Knight raises its scythe, and the only sound is the slow scrape of the blade across the stone floor. The party realises, too late, that this is not a guard. This is a sentence being carried out.
