This gothic cross headstone is a graveyard scatter piece with genuine character. The sculpt features a tall ornate cross with quatrefoil terminals at each arm — those distinctive four-lobed stone embellishments that echo medieval ecclesiastical stonework — set atop a tiered square plinth. Every surface is textured with the cracked, pitted weathering of ancient stone, giving it the weight and age of a forgotten burial ground. Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at the village of Ashenveil to investigate a string of disappearances. At the edge of the cemetery, the cleric notices one grave — marked by a tall gothic cross — has fresh earth piled around its base, as though something recently pushed up from below. The name on the stone matches the missing miller who vanished three nights ago.
