Haunted Tree by Mia Kay M3DM
Description
At the edge of the blighted wood, the trees do not merely stand — they watch, their bark twisted into hollow faces that have witnessed centuries of darkness.
- ✔ Resin terrain piece, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
- ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
- ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama
This Haunted Tree terrain piece is a dead, gnarled specimen with bare, reaching branches that fan outward like grasping fingers — and at its trunk, the unmistakable suggestion of a face, worn into the bark by age or something older and less natural. Whether it marks the boundary of a cursed forest, the lair of a Green Hag, or the remnants of a druid grove gone terribly wrong, this piece carries a specific, unsettling character that generic terrain simply cannot match.
Two variants are available: one with a sculpted detail base featuring rocky ground scatter, and one with a simpler plain base — giving DMs flexibility depending on the look of their table. Both sit comfortably alongside 32mm adventurers and look equally at home on a painted battle map or a display shelf.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Are building a blighted forest, Feywild, or Ravenloft-adjacent encounter map
- Want atmospheric scatter terrain that tells its own story without a word
- Are painting diorama scenes featuring druids, hags, or cursed woodland settings
- Collect display-worthy terrain pieces as well as character miniatures
Encounter Hook:
The druid's map marks a single dead tree at the forest's heart — harmless, they insisted, just a landmark. But as the party draws close, one of them realises the knothole facing them is not a knothole at all. It is a mouth, and it is moving. Roll Initiative.
Details
Printed at 32mm scale. The variant with the sculpted base comes as a single attached piece. The plain-base variant arrives with the base detached, ready to be affixed with a small amount of glue. Both arrive support-free and fully cured. Minor surface marks from the printing process are possible; these are easily addressed before priming. Both variants are ready to prime and paint straight away, or display as-is in their natural unpainted state.
