This is Harvest Soldier 06 from Witchsong Miniatures — a grotesque, animated jack-o'-lantern that has long since outgrown any notion of harvest festival charm. The sculpt depicts a massive, snarling pumpkin head split wide with rows of jagged, irregular teeth and a hollow darkness within that suggests something far worse than candlelight. A gnarled, branch-like limb erupts from its body and stretches upward into a wicked curved scythe, the wooden haft twisted and alive with creeping tendrils. The base is choked with dead roots and scattered debris, giving the impression that the creature has hauled itself up from the earth itself.

Whether you're running a Feywild campaign gone sour, a haunted harvest festival encounter, or a Ravenloft domain where the crops have turned, this miniature brings a specific and deeply unsettling presence to the table. It works equally well as a monstrous foot soldier, a standalone BBEG encounter piece, or a centrepiece on a collector's shelf — the sculpt has the kind of character that rewards a careful paint job as much as it commands attention straight from the box.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a genuinely threatening Fey creature for Feywild or Ravenloft encounters
  • Are building a haunted harvest or autumnal horror themed campaign
  • Want a characterful plant-type monster with serious BBEG energy
  • Are working on a display collection focused on dark fantasy creatures
  • Love painting expressive, high-detail sculpts with strong focal points

Encounter Hook:
The harvest festival in the village of Millhallow has been celebrated for three hundred years — but this year, the scarecrows moved before dusk, the pumpkins split their own skins, and the villagers who went to check the north field have not come back. As the party reaches the edge of the torchlight, something enormous and grinning turns its hollow eyes toward them, scythe already swinging.
