This is not the classical harpy of myth — beautiful and beguiling at a distance. The Harpy Beast is something rawer and more dangerous: a predator built for the dive and the kill, caught in the electric moment of landing. Its vast, feathered wings are thrown back mid-beat, muscles coiled under scaled skin, as it touches down on shattered masonry with the controlled fury of something that has been circling for a very long time.
