Description

The laughter stops mid-note, the jester's painted smile curls into something older, and the skull-tipped staff begins to glow.

  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is the fifth pose in Great Grimoire's Harlequin range, and it captures a spellcasting jester at the height of his act — or the height of his menace, depending on how your session is going. He stands with one knee raised, his voluminous ruffled collar framing a sharp, weathered face beneath a spike-crowned hat. In one hand he grips a tall sceptre topped with a grinning skull; the other hand is raised, fingers splayed, as though commanding the room or channelling something altogether darker. His coat-tails billow and his costume bears the layered, theatrical detail of a court performer who has outlived every court he has ever served.

For Dungeon Masters, this miniature works brilliantly as a Bard villain, a carnival ringmaster with hidden power, an enchanter NPC running a corrupt noble's entertainment, or a construct given the semblance of life through dark illusion magic. For collectors and painters, the layered costume, flowing fabric, and expressive pose offer an exceptional canvas — every button, ruffle, and boot-curl rewards careful brushwork.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a charismatic, unsettling NPC for a masquerade ball or cursed carnival
  • Are building a Bard villain or illusionist antagonist for their campaign
  • Want a characterful display piece with serious detail and a theatrical presence
  • Are collecting the full Harlequin range from Great Grimoire
  • Love painting flowing fabric, ornate costume detail, and expressive faces

Encounter Hook:
The ringmaster has been performing in the city's theatre district for thirty years — except the theatre burned down in 1487, and no one can explain why his face hasn't aged a day in the portraits that survived the fire.

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. The plain black base is included separately and attaches easily. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all resin miniatures, minor surface marks may occasionally occur and can be cleaned up with a hobby knife or fine sandpaper. The miniature arrives fully cured and ready for priming.

The miniatures are made with care. The cats are made with attitude. Both are features, not bugs.
