Description

He arrived at the ruins asking polite questions about the dead — and the dead, it turned out, were very willing to answer him.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Hamun Kost cuts a commanding figure — a broad-shouldered, shaven-headed mage robed in deep crimson and black, arcane tribal tattoos crawling across his scalp like a brand of forbidden knowledge. He grips a long golden staff in both hands, his stance wide and deliberate, the posture of someone who has rehearsed authority until it became genuine. There is nothing frantic about him. The most dangerous sorcerers never look rushed.

The sculpt captures that quality precisely — a controlled menace, a man who would rather negotiate than fight but has clearly done both, and remembers both fondly. His expression is flat and assessing, the gaze of a scholar who knows exactly what everything in the room is worth, including you. The heavy padded shoulders of his robe give him a physical presence that most robed casters lack, and the ornate knotwork detail on the staff's head rewards close painting attention.

Whether you run him as a morally grey NPC with a dangerous fixation on ancient burial sites, a rival faction leader, or an outright BBEG pulling strings from the shadows of a ruined keep, Hamun Kost arrives ready to unsettle your players before he's even rolled initiative.

Particularly suited for adventurers who enjoy:

  • Morally complex NPC encounters where diplomacy is genuinely on the table — right up until it isn't
  • Necromancer antagonists who feel like scholars first and villains second
  • Painting richly textured robes, tattooed skin, and ornate metalwork
  • Display pieces that hold their own outside a gaming context

Encounter Hook

The party discovers Hamun Kost already inside the crypt they were hired to clear — calmly cataloguing the inscriptions on the sarcophagi. He looks up without alarm, introduces himself by name, and explains that he has a prior claim to whatever is buried here. He is entirely willing to share his findings. He would simply like certain questions answered first. The questions involve the party's own bloodlines.
