Description

He was born with scales where skin should be, a jaw built for roaring rather than whispering, and a lineage that answers to no arcane college — only to the fire coiled in his blood.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This Half-Dragon Sorcerer is sculpted in a dynamic, mid-incantation pose that crackles with arcane menace. He stands broad and grounded, one clawed hand raised as though gathering the heat from the air itself, the other bracing a tall sorcerer's staff topped with a horned, flame-sculpted finial. His robes billow with ornate scroll-edged trim and a dragon sigil embossed across the front panel — the mark of his bloodline worn openly, without apology.

The draconic heritage is woven into every surface of this sculpt. His scaled hide breaks through the robe at the neck and forearms, and his clawed feet grip the ground with predatory confidence. What makes this miniature particularly striking for painters is the companion element — a great flaming draconic head erupts from beside him, jaws agape and wreathed in sculpted fire. Whether you interpret it as a manifestation of his breath weapon, a spell effect, or the spiritual echo of his dragon ancestor, it gives the composition a scale and drama that goes far beyond a standard spellcaster.

The robe itself rewards careful brushwork: layered fabric, belted at the waist with a knotted sash, trimmed with repeating spiral motifs, and detailed with pouches and bindings at the hip. The staff adds verticality and a focal point for OSL effects — the flame atop it and the draconic fire beside him offer a painter multiple opportunities to work with glowing, warm light sources against cooler robe colours.

This sculpt works equally well as a playable Sorcerer character — Draconic Bloodline, naturally — or as a formidable NPC spellcaster threatening your players with the fury of an ancient lineage. It's the kind of miniature that earns its spot on a display shelf too, particularly once those fire elements are painted in amber, gold, and deep orange.

Suits adventurers who want to:

  • Play a Draconic Bloodline Sorcerer with a miniature that reflects the full drama of the subclass
  • Field a powerful half-dragon NPC or BBEG spellcaster with unmistakable presence
  • Take on a showpiece painting project centred on fire, scales, and sweeping robes
  • Build a display piece that captures the danger of draconic arcane magic in a single sculpt

Encounter Hook: The party arrives at the ruins of an ancient draconic observatory to find it occupied — a half-dragon sorcerer named Kaeltharax has been communing with his ancestor's lingering essence for three days. He hasn't slept. His eyes are lit from within. And the fire he's been calling is no longer entirely under his control.
