Gytha and Godric Shepherd by Great Grimoire
Description
She didn't go looking for trouble — but when it came for her boy, she raised a blade and stopped caring about the difference.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
Gytha Shepherd is no adventurer by trade. She's a village woman with flour on her apron, a kerchief on her head, and a curved blade raised high in a hand that does not shake. Beside her, young Godric is mid-stumble, dragged forward by her grip — wide-eyed, frightened, but moving. This is a woman who has decided that whatever stands between her and her child's safety is going to have a very bad day.
Together, these two figures tell an entire story without a word of dialogue. Gytha's expression is set with fierce resolve; Godric's is caught between terror and trust. As a pair, they're among the most narratively charged NPC minis you can place on a tabletop — the kind that make players immediately ask who they are, what's chasing them, and how they can help.
Equally at home on a display shelf as on the gaming table, Gytha and Godric reward careful painting — the folds of her working dress, his simple vest and rope belt, the raw urgency of the pose all offer real depth for painters and collectors alike.
Suited to adventurers who:
- Need a memorable civilian NPC with genuine emotional weight
- Are running a village-in-peril, rescue, or protection quest arc
- Want an NPC pair that players will instinctively want to help
- Enjoy painting character-driven common-folk miniatures for display
- Are building out a lived-in settlement for their campaign world
Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to escort a grain shipment through Millhaven — a dull job, or so they thought. As they enter the village square, Gytha Shepherd bursts from an alley with Godric in tow, blade raised against a pursuer the party hasn't yet seen. She shouts one word before the arrows start flying: "Run."
