Sir Harian Southwall is a figure of cold authority and lethal precision. Clad in articulated plate armour beneath a sweeping duster coat, his masked face reveals nothing — not mercy, not doubt. He carries an ornate, filigree-etched musket across his chest like a standard of office, a longsword crossed at his back completing the silhouette of a man who has closed every case he has ever opened. The sculpt from DM Stash's The Baldurian Inquisition range captures that authority in every detail: the billowing coat mid-stride, the rubble-strewn base suggesting he has walked through worse than this, the broad-brimmed hat casting a shadow that precedes any introduction.
On the tabletop, Sir Harian works as a Gunslinger Fighter, an Arcane Trickster enforcer, or a morally ambiguous Paladin who serves an institution rather than a god. For Dungeon Masters, he's the kind of NPC who can shift a campaign's entire tone — the moment he strides onto the mat, your players will know someone powerful has taken an interest in them. He's equally at home on a display shelf, where the richly textured coat and engraved musket reward a careful paintjob with real depth.
Suited to adventurers who:
- Play Gunslinger Fighters, Arcane Tricksters, or grim Paladin variants
- Need a commanding inquisitor NPC, faction enforcer, or morally complex antagonist
- Run campaigns with political intrigue, religious authority, or Weird West flavour
- Collect display pieces that hold their own on a shelf as well as a gaming mat
Encounter Hook:
The party has been quietly dismantling a smuggling ring that runs stolen magical artefacts out of the docks — when Sir Harian Southwall steps from the shadows of the warehouse, musket resting across his forearm. He is not here to stop the smugglers. He is here because one of the artefacts the party recovered three sessions ago belongs to the Baldurian Inquisition, and he would very much like it returned. Quietly. Now.
