- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
The Gug Abomination is a creature built for the kind of encounter that makes players go quiet around the table. With all four arms splayed wide, claws spread and reaching, and a maw ringed with jagged inward-pointing teeth erupting from its chest, this sculpt captures the wrongness of the creature — humanoid enough to be unsettling, alien enough to be genuinely alarming. Thick bandage-like wrappings are wound across the torso, suggesting something restrained or ritually bound, while dense fur covers the forearms and lower legs. It crouches forward on a rubble-strewn scenic base, mid-lunge.
This is a large-format miniature on a 51mm base, making it a physical presence at the table that matches the Gug's reputation as a brutish subterranean predator. Whether you're running a Lovecraftian horror arc, an Underdark delve, or a descent into a forgotten ruin, the Gug Abomination brings the kind of silhouette that players won't forget when it hits the mat.
The sculpt is offered in two print variants — V1 and V2 — giving you a choice of supported or unsupported files printed to order. Both are available with or without a decorative base, so you can fit it to your preferred basing style. Whether you want the full scenic base or prefer to mount it on your own, the option is yours.
As a display piece, the Gug rewards a painter who enjoys contrast work — the interplay between leathery skin, coarse fur, wrapped linen, and gnashing teeth gives plenty of focal points to work across. It would sit well as a centrepiece on any horror or dungeon-themed shelf.
- Suits DMs running Underdark horror encounters or Lovecraftian campaign arcs
- Suits painters who enjoy creature work with strong textural variety
- Suits adventurers building out subterranean monster encounter collections
- Suits display collectors looking for an imposing large-base creature piece
Encounter Hook: The party descends into the collapsed undercroft of a pre-Sundering temple. At the centre of the chamber, bound upright against a carved monolith by iron-and-scripture chains, stands the Gug — still. Then one chain snaps. Then another. The carvings on the monolith were not warnings. They were instructions, and someone has been following them.
