Description

Blind to light but attuned to every sound and vibration, the Grimlock erupts from the darkness before your party even knows it is there.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Grimlocks are among the Underdark's most unsettling humanoid threats — not because they are the largest or the most powerful, but because they are relentless. Stripped of sight through generations spent in lightless caverns, they hunt by sound, smell, and tremorsense, making torch-bearers a liability and silence a survival skill. This sculpt captures that explosive aggression perfectly: barrel-chested and snarling, mouth wide in a battle cry, wielding a crude spiked club with a grip that suggests no intention of letting go. The fur loincloth and cord belt speak to a brutal, subsistence existence, while the hunched combat stance reads as a creature mid-lunge — not waiting, not posturing, but committed.

Whether stationed as a patrol encounter in a duergar mine, a thrall of a more powerful Underdark predator, or one of many in a frenzied warband, this miniature carries real menace on the table. It works equally well as a display piece for collectors drawn to the rawer end of the monster catalogue.

Well-suited for adventurers who:

  • Run Underdark campaigns and need humanoid threats that aren't hobgoblins or drow
  • Want a tactically interesting enemy that punishes noisy, torch-dependent parties
  • Are building out a monster collection from the Monster Manual
  • Enjoy painting gritty, muscular humanoids with characterful detail

Encounter Hook:
The mine shaft has gone quiet — the dwarven survey team stopped sending reports three days ago. As the party descends, lanterns extinguished at the ranger's insistence, they hear it: the rhythmic, wet thud of a club against stone, growing closer with every heartbeat. The first Grimlock doesn't announce itself. It simply arrives.
