Description
The robes billow though there is no wind, the chains rattle though no hand moves them, and the skull lantern casts a light that shows only what you most fear.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
This Grim Reaper sculpt from Epic Miniatures captures a skeletal figure mid-incantation — its tattered robes caught in an otherworldly gust, bony claws clutching a chained skull lantern as spectral fabric billows dramatically around its frame. The skull beneath the deep hood stares outward with hollow authority, and the flowing, shredded robes give the whole piece a restless, drifting quality that reads brilliantly on the tabletop even before a drop of paint touches it.
The detail throughout is exceptional: the layering of tattered cloth, the individual chain links, the ornate base of the lantern, and the exposed skeletal feet all reward close attention. Whether you plan to keep it in cold, ghostly pallors — grey transitions into icy blue — or lean into a more necromantic palette of deep greens and tarnished bone, the surface texture gives painters every tool they need. This is a miniature that earns its place both mid-encounter and on a display shelf.
It works brilliantly as a Lich, a Death domain Cleric villain, a Wraith made manifest, or simply as a narrative encounter with the personification of death itself. Dungeon Masters running gothic horror, graveyard delves, Shadowfell incursions, or Ravenloft campaigns will find it immediately at home in their collection.
- Adventurers who run gothic horror or Ravenloft campaigns and want a centrepiece villain
- Painters drawn to spectral, OSL, or cold-palette challenges
- DMs needing a memorable face for a Death domain cult or Shadowfell encounter
- Collectors building out an undead display with real visual variety
Encounter Hook: The party has been tracking grave robberies across three villages when they arrive at the newest cemetery to find every grave open — and a solitary hooded figure drifting between the headstones, a chained skull lantern swinging gently, all the exhumed dead silently rising behind it.
