Description

Something shifts in the tunnel ahead — not the scrape of boots, but the wet, rhythmic contraction of something that has never needed light to hunt.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Grick is one of D&D's most unsettling ambush predators: a worm-bodied aberration with a four-beaked maw ringed by writhing tentacles, perfectly evolved for the cramped tunnels of the Underdark. This is pose 01 of our Grick range by Novaminis, and the sculpt captures the creature mid-rearing — its segmented body coiled low against the ground while four hooked tentacles splay outward, the suckers along each limb rendered in sharp relief. The gaping beak is open wide, four mandibles spread in threat display, and the subtle shift from pallid flesh tones to bruised purple across the tentacles gives the sculpt a genuinely alien quality that holds up across every angle.

For Dungeon Masters, this is a miniature that does half the atmosphere work before you've said a word. Place it on the mat and your players will immediately recalibrate what they thought was a routine patrol through the tunnels. Equally at home on a display shelf alongside other Underdark denizens, the dynamic pose and detailed surface texture make it a rewarding piece to paint — wash it in thin purples and off-whites and the anatomy practically models itself.

Well suited to adventurers who:

  • Run Underdark campaigns, Out of the Abyss sessions, or dungeon-delving encounters
  • Need a visually distinctive ambush predator that reads clearly at the table
  • Enjoy painting organic, textured creatures with complex surface anatomy
  • Collect aberrations and Underdark monsters for display

Encounter Hook:
The miners who hired the party to clear the lower shaft haven't been seen in three days. When the adventurers finally reach the excavation face, they find the drills intact, the lanterns still burning — and a Grick coiled in the centre of the chamber, calmly waiting for whatever comes next down the tunnel.

Scaled to 32mm. Available with or without a plain black base; the base is supplied unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Each mini is printed at high resolution; supports are removed before despatch, though minor marks from the printing process are possible and easily cleaned up. Ready for priming, painting, or use straight from the box.
