Description

Something floats at the edge of torchlight — no eyes, no mercy, just a pulsing cerebral mass and ten barbed tentacles hunting for warm flesh.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Grell is one of D&D's most unsettling Aberrations: a free-floating predator that haunts the Underdark, ambushing prey from above before dragging it into the dark. This sculpt by La Louve 3D captures the creature's grotesque anatomy in sharp detail — the ridged, bulging brain-dome, the hooked beak tucked beneath, and eight long, thorn-studded tentacles splayed wide in a mid-hunt pose, gripping the base as if it's just touched down after a dive. It's a miniature that demands a reaction from the players the moment it hits the table.

Whether you're running an Underdark expedition, a mind flayer-adjacent dungeon, or simply want a genuinely unsettling encounter monster in your collection, the Grell delivers both visual impact and gameplay menace in equal measure.

Suited to adventurers who:

  • Run Underdark campaigns and need creatures that feel genuinely alien
  • Want a standout Aberration mini for D&D 5e or other TTRPG systems
  • Collect and paint fantasy monsters for display as well as play
  • Prefer sculpts with strong silhouettes and readable detail on the tabletop

Encounter Hook:
The patrol went silent three days ago. When the party descends into the lower tunnels to investigate, they find the guards' equipment scattered across the floor — but no bodies, no blood, and no sign of a struggle. Then something drops from the ceiling behind the rearguard.
