This is a striking sculpt of an antlered fey warrior cloaked in layers of overlapping feathers — part nature spirit, part ancient knight, wholly unsettling. He stands in an aggressive, forward-leaning stance, gripping a long sword upright before him with both hands, its point angled downward into the earth as though planting a challenge. His head, crowned with branching stag antlers, is bowed slightly — suggesting both focus and menace. The feathered cloak cascades down his back in extraordinary detail, each individual feather individually sculpted and layered, making for a genuinely compelling back-of-model that rewards careful drybrushing or contrast painting. His legs are lean and elongated beneath the cloak's hem, rooted to a textured rocky base scattered with debris.
The Green Knight has deep roots in myth — Arthurian legend, Celtic folklore, the endless forest that existed before kingdoms were drawn on maps. On the tabletop, this sculpt works equally well as a powerful Feywild guardian, a cursed paladin bound to serve a forest deity, or the BBEG enforcer of an ancient nature covenant. Equally, he's a compelling choice for adventurers building a nature-touched PC — a Druid who never fully came back from the Feywild, or a Paladin sworn to an Oath of the Ancients who has let the old power reshape him entirely.
With the feathered cloak, antlered head, and sword in hand, this sculpt lends itself to rich colour work: deep forest greens and ochres for the cloak, pale bone or bark tones for the antlers, and a corroded verdigris finish on the blade for that properly ancient, otherworldly feel. The scenic rocky base adds useful ground-level texture to anchor the whole piece on a display shelf or encounter map alike.
- Dungeon Masters running Feywild encounters, Wild Hunt events, or ancient forest encounters
- Players building a Druid, Paladin (Oath of the Ancients), or Ranger PC with a fey or nature-bound theme
- Painters who want a centrepiece model with sweeping textured detail across every surface
- Collectors drawn to mythic and folkloric aesthetics in their display miniatures
Encounter Hook: The party has agreed to deliver a message to the Lord of the Thornwood — but as they cross the boundary stone into the ancient forest, they find the path blocked by a towering figure with a stag's crown and a sword planted in the earth before him. He does not speak. He simply waits. The message, it turns out, was never meant to be delivered at all.
