The Great Wight Shark is no mere beast of the sea. Bloated with dark energy and held together by necrotic will rather than living sinew, this colossal predator haunts the abyssal trenches and cursed coastlines of your campaign world. Its hide is a map of old wounds that never healed — deep gashes and battle scars carved into flesh that refused to rot — and its jaws hang open in a permanent, silent roar, rows of jagged teeth ready to close around hull timber or adventurer alike. Whether it patrols the sunless ocean beneath a drowned city or serves as the mount of a sea lich, this creature announces itself as something that should not exist.

Encounter Hook:
The fishing village of Saltmere has lost three boats in a fortnight — each found drifting, nets torn, hulls punctured from below by something enormous. When the party investigates the wreck of the last vessel, they find a single survivor raving about a shark the size of a longboat with dead white eyes and wounds across its body that pulsed with cold, dark light. The trail leads to a submerged shrine to a forgotten sea god, where something ancient was recently and very accidentally woken.
