Description

Beyond the rusted iron bars of the old gatehouse arch, something stirs in the dark — and the lock, the party notices, is already broken.

  • ✔ Resin terrain piece, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
  • ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
  • ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama

Every graveyard worth its salt has a gate like this one — a crumbling stone archway framing a heavy iron portcullis-style door, its bars tapering to vicious points at the top and bolted with thick riveted cross-braces at chest height. The keyhole is prominently set into the locking plate, just waiting for a rogue to make their move. The surrounding stonework is beautifully textured: rough-hewn and weathered, with cracked and tumbled masonry at the base suggesting decades of neglect. This is the entrance to somewhere you probably shouldn't go — and that, of course, is exactly where your party is headed.

The Graveyard Door works just as well as a dungeon entrance, a prison gate, or the sealed threshold of a forgotten crypt. Painted up in aged iron and mossy stone, it becomes an instant atmospheric focal point on any battlemat. Equally at home on a display diorama shelf as it is anchoring a graveyard encounter on the gaming table.

  • Adventurers who want to elevate graveyard or crypt encounters with a proper physical gateway
  • Dungeon Masters building modular dungeon or cemetery scatter setups
  • Painters looking for a richly textured architectural centrepiece to add to a diorama
  • Anyone who wants their party to feel the weight of that locked iron door before they even roll Thieves' Tools

Encounter Hook: The party arrives at the Mournfield Cemetery just after midnight, under contract to retrieve a signet ring from the Ashveil family mausoleum. The graveyard gate stands ajar — someone has already forced the lock tonight. Muddy boot prints lead inward. Your rogue glances at the broken keyhole plate and whispers: "We weren't the first ones here."
