Grapple Knight Bust by The Witchguild
Description
They say the Grapple Knight has never lost a hold — that once those gauntleted arms close around you, no spell, no blade, and no prayer will set you free.
- ✔ Large-scale display bust — significantly bigger than standard 32mm
- ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted — ideal as a centrepiece painting project
- ✔ Designed for display shelves and painting competitions
This commanding bust captures the Grapple Knight in all his grim, martial authority. A broad-visored helm sweeps upward into two great curving horns, each worn and textured with the marks of a dozen campaigns. Layers of chain mail coil across the neck and shoulders, gathered and draped like a war banner — practical, heavy, and richly detailed. The breastplate beneath is etched with decorative motifs that hint at a martial order older than most kingdoms. The whole piece sits upon an ornate stepped plinth engraved with a geometric border, giving it the weight and presence of a museum artefact or a champion's trophy.
Whether this is the iron-masked warden of a gladiatorial fighting pit, a deposed champion rotting beneath a cursed helm, or the faceless enforcer of a tyrant's court, the Grapple Knight is the kind of character that stops a session cold the moment the DM places him on the table — or on the shelf behind them.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Want a substantial display bust to showcase their painting skills on armour, metal, and chain mail textures
- Are building a themed collection of warriors, knights, and martial champions
- Need a visually imposing NPC or villain to anchor a campaign arc
- Are drawn to heavily armoured, masked, or morally ambiguous fighter archetypes
Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to retrieve a stolen relic from the vaults beneath the Thornmere Arena. The job was meant to be straightforward — until they find the vault guarded by a silent, horned figure who has stood watch there for forty years and whose face no one alive has ever seen. The Grapple Knight doesn't speak. He simply tilts his head and waits for someone to make the first move.
