Graduate Battlemage (Felix Droste) by DM Stash
Description
He earned his graduation not with a scroll and a handshake, but with five conjured blades and a battlefield that hadn't expected a mage in full armour.

Felix Droste cuts an imposing figure — a broad-shouldered young man in heavily detailed plate and layered robes, one hand wrapped around the grip of a long magical sword planted point-down before him, the other raised as if mid-incantation. His expression is serious and focused, the look of someone who has spent years mastering the difficult art of being both swordsman and spellcaster, and who is very much aware of how dangerous that combination is.
What truly sets this sculpt apart is the swirling magical energy surrounding him. Three conjured arcane blades — translucent crystalline swords trailing ribbons of glowing force — orbit Felix in an arc, held in place by nothing but concentrated will. The base itself is engraved with arcane sigils, reinforcing the sense that wherever Felix stands, the air hums with latent power. The detail on his armour is exceptional: layered pauldrons, embossed breastplate, gauntlets, and articulated greaves are all faithfully rendered, while the layered robes beneath give the sculpt a satisfying sense of depth and texture.
Whether you're playing a Bladesinger Wizard, an Eldritch Knight, an Arcane Archer, or any class that straddles the boundary between martial and magical, Felix Droste translates beautifully to the tabletop. He's equally compelling as an NPC — perhaps an ambitious graduate of an arcane institution, a rival the party crosses paths with more than once, or a powerful ally whose loyalty must be earned.
This miniature is a great choice for adventurers who:
- Play Wizards, Fighters (Eldritch Knight), or Bladesinger characters
- Want a warrior-mage mini with genuinely striking magical effects built into the sculpt
- Are running campaigns featuring arcane academies, mage guilds, or magical institutions
- Love detail-rich sculpts that reward careful painting — the force blades especially will look spectacular with a wet-blend or contrast technique
- Collect display pieces as well as gaming pieces
Encounter Hook: The party arrives at the Arcane University seeking answers about a string of magical murders in the city — only to find Felix Droste waiting for them in the entrance hall, five conjured blades lazily orbiting his shoulders, a thin smile on his face. "The Dean thought you might need a guide," he says. "I thought you might need watching."
