Description

Even in the dead of night, the old lamppost still stands — its latticed flame long cold, its iron body swallowed by creeping rope and crystal growth, a silent sentinel at the edge of a garden that no longer welcomes the living.

  • ✔ Resin terrain piece, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
  • ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
  • ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama

The Gothic Garden Lamppost is a richly detailed scatter terrain piece designed to evoke crumbling aristocratic estates, cursed manor grounds, and the fog-drenched streets of Ravenloft or similar gothic settings. The tall post is wound from base to crown with thick twisted rope, knotted at intervals and draped with trailing organic growth — the kind of detail that rewards a careful painter.

The lantern head itself features an elegant latticed diamond pattern across each panel, with a swept pagoda-style roof and decorative rope fringing at each corner. The whole piece sits on a textured cobblestone base overgrown with crystal formations and wild grass, giving it the feel of a once-grand garden now reclaimed by something darker.

As a standalone piece it marks a point of interest on any gothic or urban encounter map — a meeting place, a waypoint, or simply a landmark that tells your players the neighbourhood has seen better days. Run several together to line a cursed garden path or mark the boundary of a vampire's estate.

Equally well-suited to display dioramas, this piece would complement a graveyard or manor scene with genuine character.

A go-to choice for adventurers who:

  • Run gothic horror or Ravenloft campaigns and want evocative, atmospheric scatter
  • Build display dioramas featuring haunted estates, cursed gardens, or fog-shrouded streets
  • Like terrain pieces with enough detail to reward proper painting
  • Want to line a dungeon entrance, manor path, or graveyard with memorable landmarks

Encounter Hook: As the party follows the overgrown path through the Count's garden, they notice each lamppost they pass flickers to life behind them — even though none have burned for a century. By the time they reach the manor doors, the way back is lined with cold blue light, and something moves between the posts.

Details

Supplied as a single unpainted terrain piece at 32mm scale. The piece is notably taller than a standard miniature, making it a strong visual anchor on any encounter map. Printed to a high level of detail, with the rope texture, lattice lantern panels, and base overgrowth all crisply rendered.
