Description

Its hooves left craters in the flagstones, and the iron plates fused to its hide hadn't rusted — they'd grown there.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Gorgon is one of D&D's most visually distinctive monstrosities: a bull encased in overlapping iron-like armour plating, snorting petrifying breath and capable of trampling a warband flat before they've finished their initiative rolls. This is the second sculpt in Novaminis' Gorgon range, and it captures the creature in a grounded, forward-planted stance — weight distributed across all four heavily segmented legs, nose ring glinting, and that signature ridge of dorsal spines running the length of its back. The ribbed carapace wraps the barrel chest in segmented plates, the face is knotted with armoured brow ridges and a broad bull-ring, and the tail terminates in a vicious spiked tip. Every surface tells a story of something that was never domesticated and never could be.

Whether you're dropping this into a plains encounter, a siege sequence, or a cursed noble's menagerie gone catastrophically wrong, this sculpt has the physical weight to sell the threat. It's equally at home on a display shelf as on the battlemat — the level of detail across the plating, hooves, and facial armour rewards a careful paint job.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a CR 5 monstrosity with genuine table presence
  • Are running encounters in open terrain, ruined fortresses, or cursed countryside
  • Want a second Gorgon pose to differentiate a herd or staged encounter
  • Are building a painted monster collection focused on D&D's iconic beasts

Encounter Hook:
The mountain pass has been impassable for three weeks — not due to weather, but because something has been charging any wagon that tries to cross. The local shepherd swears it used to be his bull, before the iron started spreading from the hooves upward. The party finds it standing in the middle of the road, head lowered, breathing slow green fog across the cobblestones.

Details

Printed at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black base — the base comes unattached and can be fixed in place with a small amount of glue. Each piece is inspected before dispatch; as with all high-detail miniatures, minor marks from support removal may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up before priming.
